Abstract [sv]
The point of departure of this project is the fact that for a long time the written product has constituted the primary artefact in a scientific research context. Another point of departure is that the universities do not consist of uniform language environments with common requirements as regards what characterises a good scientific text and how the relationship between the scientific activities and the writing is conceived. For this reason the project wants to make a close study of the different language and text worlds that a teacher student encounters during the education and analyse the considerations and negotiations that may arise because of different disciplinary writing traditions and epistemological requirements on the way towards a passed paper. Teacher education is a broad vocational education that may cover several faculty areas with their different traditions. The more general parts of the education, which are aimed at teacher knowledge, derive their nourishment from a social science research tradition with its specific writing traditions. The more subject-oriented parts may involve writing traditions in science, social science and arts subjects. To this should be added the fact that teacher education in the form of a vocational educations aims at constituting an application of the knowledge content in the education. In the new teacher education this part of the education will be more closely linked to the subjects.
