More Than Just a Website? : A Technographic and Ideological Analysis of The Red Pill Archive (engelsk)
Abstract [en]

This study examines The Red Pill Archive (TRPA) through a technographic and ideological analysis, exploring how digital infrastructures contribute to the preservation and dissemination of manosphere ideologies. By combining a technographic examination of the platform’s affordances with a thematic analysis of its dictionary, the study reveals how TRPA functions not only as an archive but also as an active agent in reinforcing ideological beliefs. The findings indicate that the platform’s design facilitates content accessibility and engagement, fostering a sense of legitimacy and continuity within the manosphere. Additionally, the thematic analysis highlights how language is strategically used to reproduce norms and cultures, reinforcing gendered power structures and positioning feminism as a threat. These insights contribute to a broader understanding of how digital platforms influence ideological dissemination and radicalization processes online.
