Abstract [sv]

Diabetes typ 2 blir allt vanligare världen över och allt fler personer med låg socioekonomisk status drabbas av sjukdomen. Behandlingen består till stor del av livsstilsförändringar och egenvård, detta ställer höga krav på patienten själv såväl som på hälso- och sjukvården i sitt stöd till patienten.

Abstract [en]

Type 2 diabetes is becoming more common worldwide and more people with low socioeconomic status becomes ill in the disease. The treatment consists largely of lifestyle changes and self-management, this requires high demands on the patient and likewise on the healthcare in their support to the patient.
