Abstract [en]

In this thesis a new method to analyse sports training using a 3D-camera has been investigated. A method to calibrate the measurement system and comfirm the placement of cones for agility drills has been developed. It has been investigated what properties are possible to extract from various exercises and the results were compared to results from existing measurement systems when possible.

While more testing is needed to fully confirm the accuracy of the measurements the initial test results look promising. By using the extra measurement points obtained when using a 3D-camera the ability to spot a difference between two athletes is increased. A graphical user interface has also been developed to make it easier for further testing and validation of results. By automatically generating scoresheets for a few selected exercises it can help motivate athletes to participate in testing needed to further develop the measurement system.
