Abstract [sv]

Bakgrund: Oregelbundna arbetstider är vanligt inom hälso- ochsjukvården och kan påverka omvårdnadspersonalen på flera plan. Att arbetaoregelbundna tider kan ge påverkan på personalens hälsa samt sociala liv. Vidallt för påfrestande arbetstider finns det risk att hälsan påverkas i sådan gradatt patientsäkerheten riskeras.Syfte: Att belysa omvårdnadspersonalens erfarenheter av att arbetaoregelbundna tider.Metod: Litteraturstudien innehåller resultat från elva artiklar medkvalitativ metod samt mixad design som granskats, analyserats ochsammanställts. Databaser som använts för att söka artiklar är CINAHL,PubMed och PsycINFO.Resultat: Resultatet sammanställdes i tre kategorier: ’Att ha ett liv utanförarbetet’, ’Att leva i en föränderlig tillvaro’ och ’Att vara en del av enverksamhet’.Konklusion: Omvårdnadspersonalen kan uppleva de oregelbundnaarbetstiderna som svåra och påfrestande. Ett ökat stöd, en ökad kontroll samtatt få möjligheten att ställa krav inom verksamheten kan underlätta förpersonalen i det skiftande arbetet samt minska risken för ohälsa som kan ledatill vårdskada.

Abstract [en]

Background: Irregular working hours are very common in the health caresystem and can affect the nursing staff in many ways. Working irregular hourscan affect the health of the workers as well as their social life. In addition tostressful working hours, there is a risk of illness that can affect the patients’safety.Aim: To illustrate the nursing staffs’ experiences of working irregular hours.Method: A literature study was conducted. The results of eleven qualitativeand mixed method studies were reviewed, analysed and compiled. A databasesearch was performed in CINAHL, PubMed, and PsycINFO.Result: The results were organised into three categories: ’To have a lifeoutside of work’, ’ To live in a changing existence’, and ’To be a part of anorganisation’.Conclusion: The nursing staff can experience irregular working hours ashard and demanding. An increase of support, increased control, and to havethe opportunity to make demands in the department can mitigate the negativeeffects of working irregular hours and decrease the risk of illness that can leadto mistakes in nursing.
