Hydraulic system for brake-carriage. : For climatic tests of military vehicles (English)
Abstract [en]

This degree project describes a hydraulic system for a brake-carriage to simulate different terrain for BvS 10, and combat vehicle 90. Which makes it possible to do climate endurance tests of these vehicles cooling systems, which is not possible today.The report describes component selections and relationships, how they work and how they can be used to achieve a braking effect to simulate different terrains. The report also describes the limits these components put on the brake-carriage. As well as at what speed the carriage is suitable for use.Pictures for the hydraulic scheme of the process are presented in the report. The report also contains 3D images on how the hydraulics have been adapted to the brake-carriage.Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) indicates that the brake-carriage needs better cooling to the pump housing, but also that the cooling radiators are sensitive to hard terrain. This may be a base for future development of the brake-carriage.
