Abstract [sv]

This report has looked at factors that affect how different types of ICT are used by teachers and pupils as special pedagogical tools on a Swedish secondary upper schoool. By using a case study, teachers and pupils were interviewed in order to give their view of how they experienced ICT could work as a special pedagogical tool. The sociocultural perspective, where it is expected that people use differen types of physical and psychological tools to navigate in the environment, has been used as theoretical framework to understand the results of the study. The results have also been interpreted by looking at earlier research and official documents about ICT and schools. It appeared that both teachers and pupils experienced ICT as a potentially efficient tool to use foor a special pedagogical purpose, but that a lack of knowledge about how to use it in the special pedagogical organization wwas seen as an obstacle.
