This thesis explores data-driven value creation in player recruitment within Swedish elite football clubs. The rise of digital technology has significantly changed the sports industry, enabling clubs to improve results both in the organization and on the football pitch. By identifying prerequisites for data-driven value creation, the study contributes with recommendations for how clubs can work with digital player recruitment to best achieve value. One focus area of the study is the data-driven values that clubs can achieve with an effective recruitment process. Then the study also focuses particularly on the application of data analysis and digital tools and focuses on the critical factors and prerequisites that are considered important for applying an effective data-driven recruitment process. The results show how the clubs practices, structures and visions play into an effective recruitment process.
