Stress analysis of screw connections with cones for subframe of front loaders (English)
Abstract [en]

Ålö manufactures front loaders for agricultural tractors, and the department for product integration at ÅLÖ is responsible for designing the interface between the front loader and agricultural tractors, including the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. When introducing a new tractor model, a metal foundation needs to be designed to mount ÅLÖ’s loader. These foundations are usually equipped with screw joints and cones to facilitate assembly and improve logistics. The purpose of the project was to investigate the maximum forces that the screw joints for a Q5M loader can withstand before they fail. To carry out the project, experiments and simulations were conducted to analyze the stress distribution in different screw joints, where the number of cones and the distance between them were varied. The mechanical stress was measured using strain gauges, and the simulations were performed using finite element modeling (FEM) with the software SolidEdge. The results of both the tests and simulations show that for a Q5M loader, four cones with a 95 mm distance or three cones with a 190 mm distance between them can be used. This result was verified by conducting two different fatigue tests. Doubling the distance between the cones from 95 mm to 190 mm reduces the stress around the cones by approximately 25%.

Ålö producerar frontlastare till jordbrukstraktorer och avdelningen för produktintegration på ÅLÖ ansvarar för att utforma gränssnittet mellan frontlastare och jordbrukstraktorer, inklusive det mekaniska, hydrauliska och elektriska systemet. Vid introduktionen av en ny traktormodell behöver ett plåtfundament konstrueras för att montera ÅLÖ’s lastare. Dessa fundament utrustas vanligtvis med skruvförband och konor för att underlätta monteringen och förbättra logistiken. Syftet med projektet var att undersöka hur stora krafter skruvförband för en Q5M lastare kan utsättas för innan de går sönder. För att genomföra projektet utfördes experiment och simuleringar av spänningsfördelningen i olika skruvförband där antalet konor och konavståndet varierades. Den mekaniska spänningen mättes med trådtöjningsgivare och simuleringarna gjordes under användning av finite element modellering (FEM) med hjälp av programvaran SolidEdge. Resultaten av både testerna och simuleringarna visar att för en Q5M lastare kan man använda fyra konor med 95 mm avstånd eller tre konor med 190 mm avstånd mellan dem. Detta resultat verifierades genom att genomföra två olika utmattningstest. Om man fördubblar avståndet mellan konorna från 95 mm till 190 mm så minskar spänningen med ungefär 25% runt konorna.
