Your favorite food delivered with a few clicks : A qualitative study of users' experiences of Foodora (English)
Abstract [en]
Online food delivery platforms have become a big part of many individuals' lives and have dramatically changed the way people order and consume food. The purpose of this qualitative study is to create a deeper understanding of the customers and more specifically what aspects of Foodora’s online food delivery platform give them value. This study also aims to discover what the users think of Foodora’s functionality and layout. To gather the data needed to achieve this study's purpose, eight interviews were conducted with regular users of the platform. For the data analysis a thematic analysis was used to create codes and themes from the data gathered from the interviews. The interviews yielded valuable insight into the user’s experiences and opinions about Foodora’s layout and platform as a whole. For example, the respondents’ thoughts and opinions include positive experiences with the GPS-feature where users can track their orders location in real time, the time saving aspect of using the platform and the convenience of using the platform. The results from this study can contribute to the body of knowledge relating to online food delivery platforms by offering valuable insight into what consumers value about these platforms and their thoughts on their functionality and layout.
