This report examines the relationship between entrepreneurship and unemployment among individuals aged 18-29 in Swedish municipalities. The relationship between entrepreneurship and unemployment is analyzed from an intersectional perspective, focusing on how demographic and socioeconomic factors influence individuals' tendency to start businesses. This study aims to contribute to understanding what drives entrepreneurship and the dynamic relationship between entrepreneurship and unemployment in Sweden's municipalities. The dataset covers 67 municipalities in Sweden during the period 2016–2023. This report uses a panel data model and fixed effects estimation to examine the relationship between unemployment and entrepreneurship. The findings of this report demonstrate a positive and significant effect of unemployment on entrepreneurship among native-born women and openly unemployed women with secondary education.
