Abstract [sv]

Det här är en studie vars syfte är att belysa skolpersonals erfarenheter av att hantera konflikter som börjat hemma på sociala medier eller spel online, men som har fortsatt i skolan. För att kunna analysera studiens resultat används det socioekologiska perspektivet för att kunna förstå samspelet mellan olika kontextuella faktorer som spelar in vid social interaktion, som till exempel kränkningar online. Metoden som har använts för att generera studiens data är semistrukturerade intervjuer. I studiens resultat som bearbetats med hjälp av tematisk analys framkommer det att skolans personal lägger mycket tid på att hjälpa eleverna att hantera sina konflikter som startat online, och att alla studiens deltagare efterfrågar ett föräldraansvar. I resultaten framkommer de olika svårigheter som deltagarna upplever med att hantera konflikter som startat online samt att många av dem känner att de behöver mer utbildning både kring sociala medier och konflikthantering, men deras berättelser präglas också av en omsorg ör eleverna. Skolan har ett ansvar att skapa en trygg skolmiljö där alla elever kan utvecklas, såväl kunskapsmässigt samt på ett personligt plan. Skolan har vid rätt förutsättningar möjligheten att begränsa förekomsten av mobbning och kränkningar både i skolans lokaler och online utanför skoltid.

Abstract [en]

This is a study whose purpose is to highlight the experiences of school staff in dealing with conflicts that started at home on social media or during online gaming but have continued at school. To be able to analyze the results of the study, the socio-ecological perspective is used to be able to understand the interplay between different contextual factors that come into play during social interaction, such as online indignity. The method being used to generate data is semi-structured interviews. The results of the study are processed with the help of thematic analysis, and it appears that the school's personnel spend a lot of time helping the students manage their conflicts that started online, and that all participants demand parental responsibility. The results show the various difficulties that the participants experience in handling conflicts that have started online and that many of them feel that they need more training in both social media and conflict management, but their stories are also characterized by their care for the students. The school has a responsibility to create a safe school environment where all students can develop, both their knowledge and on a personal level. If the school has the right conditions, it can limit the occurrence of bullying and violations both on the school premises and online outside school hours.
