Abstract [en]

The crystal structure of [C(NH2)3]4H2Mo5P2O23.H2O was determined from X-ray single-crystal data. Anisotropic refinement in the space group P2(1)/c resulted in R = 0.043, using 7011 unique reflections. Cell parameters are a = 14.608(2), b = 13.054(2), c = 15.887(2) angstrom and beta = 92.47(1)-degrees. The structure contains H2Mo5P2O23(4-) anions, C(NH2)3+ cations and water molecules. The links between these units are mainly due to hydrogen bonds. The anions are arranged in layers almost parallel to (100).
