Planning of a small-scale sewage plant at the property north Åbyggeby 3:37, Gävle

The purpose of this work has been to develop a small-scale sewage plant and various construction options for the property 3:37 Norra Åbyggeby in Gavle. The work deals with different subject areas such as what to consider before installing an individual sewage plant, how to manage an application, the solutions available today and which laws and other demands that affect the area.  The study also included an overview of the property area such as soil conditions, groundwater depth and the recipient. Two possible alternatives have been developed considering the plant to be installed. The conclusion is that Baga EASY with a BioTank that subsequent cleaning or a septic tank with BIOROCK as final step is recommended for the property. Both systems are robust facilities and capable of handling the Environmental Protection Agency's requirement for high safety level. The systems occupy only a small area and could be placed in a good position. Since the sewage tanks are made of plastic, there is no risk of contamination. The main disadvantage is that the investment costs are bigger for these solutions than, for example, installation of a conventional infiltration bed.
