Abstract [en]

There are different ways of analyzing or measuring theimpact of a journal in the form of citation counts andother quantitative measuring tools. In this thesis I wantto discuss a qualitative way that can be used with thequantitative. I interviewed the editors of a scientificjournal and did a survey over the subjects publishedduring their respective time as editors. The resultswhere then put against a theoretical model called theCycle of Journal Credibility that was created by me andis based on the Cycle of Credibility created by BrunoLatour and Steve Wolgar. The main conclusion fromthis study showed that credibility can be obtained fromdifferent things and that the importance may lie inwhere this credibility is of use for the credit holder.
