Abstract [sv]

The purpose of this essay is to study if six weeks of intense repeated reading has positive effects on the reading ability of students with reading disabilities. The purpose is also to investigate if the results have an impact over time. Each student in second grade in this particular school participated in a test, measuring the speed of reading. Then an intervention was conducted with two students. After the intervention the students of the intervention was tested again. After approximately 13 weeks from the first test all students was tested again. The results of the students engaged in the intervention were compared with the results of the rest of the class. The results of this study show that repeated reading is an effective method and that the results are kept over time.
