Abstract [sv]

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om fysisk planering kan samverka eller kombineras med destinationsutveckling genom en fallstudie av Stockholms stad för att skapa attraktiva destinationer i stadens ytterstadområden.Undersökningen omfattar en fallstudie av Stockholms fysiska planering och destinationsutveckling. Studien består av tidigare studier om urban turism i en litteraturstudie. Offentliga strategidokument har också analyserats. Intervjuer med fysiska planerare och destinationsplanerare har genomförts. Vidare har resultatet av intervjuerna analyserades tematiskt, en metod som valts för dess användbarhet för att få en djupare förståelse av en företeelse i samhället.Resultaten visar att det finns utmaningar, möjligheter för planerare att samarbeta och skapa ett nytänkande om hur deras planering områden kan samverka. Resultatet visar att varje planering formulär kan arbeta tillsammans för att främja utvecklingen besöksnäringen i Stockholms ytterstadsområden. Mycket av utvecklingen handlar om att planera för god tillgänglighet och att i framtiden skapa attraktiva destinationer och exportmognad tillsammans.

Abstract [en]

The aim of this essay is to examine whether spatial planning in a case study of the city of Stockholm can be helpful or combined with destination development towards attractive destinations in the Stockholm suburban areas. Further, the essay examine if there is a need for a tourism strategy for these areas and furthermore how spatial planners and destination development planners could work togetherThis examination is carried out by performing a case study of Stockholm city suburb and destination development. The study consists of previous studies about urban tourism in a literature study. Strategic documents have also been analyzed. More, Interviews have been done with spatial planners and destination development planners. Further, the result of the interviews is analyzed thematically, a method chosen for its applicability for obtaining a deeper understanding of a phenomenon in society.The results show that there are challenges, opportunities for planners to collaborate and create a rethinking of how their planning areas can interact. The results show that each planning form can work together to promote tourism industry development in Stockholm's suburban areas. Much of the development is about ensuring good accessibility and in the future creates attractions and export maturity together.
