This case study is based on the implementation of lean production in public sector. By the method and theory ANT (Actor Network Theory ) the case is studied as an process that occurs when the organization in question chooses to implement lean production in the organization. Through interviews and documents this study examining how control methods related to lean production system being developed on the different workplaces in the organization. The tool that is examined in this study is a set of values, values implemented to partly promote "continuous innovation" and “costumer perspective”. The results show that instead of implement ideas directly from the private business sector, public organizations are inspired from similar organizations in the same sector. And although employees in the organization have embraced and understand the organization values this does not mean that the tool is used to promote lean production in the workplace. Rather, the method is used to deal with that the manager and employees identify as problems on the workplace.
