Abstract [en]

Astatism, a traditional concept in linear theory, is extended to nonlinear systems. Astatism conditions are stated. The response of an astatic nonlinear system do varying perturbations increasing with a bounded rate is studied. The error in tracking a desirable varying stale is estimated. How integral feedback ensures astatism is examined. This result is applied to control Lagrange systems.
