The Swedish Work Environment Authority has inspected temporary work agencies and client companies and the result showed that the introduction for temporary workers are often lacking. Work injury statistics show that the branch of temporary work agencies has a higher number of accidents than the rest of the labor market. The purpose of this report was to investigate how temporary work agencies operate regarding their introduction for their temporary workers and examine how they comply with applicable work environment legislation. The purpose was also to investigate how the temporary workers perceive the temporary work agencies introduction. Three semi-structured interviews were conducted with three HR managers from three different temporary work agencies and five temporary workers. The result shows that temporary work agencies have established routines for their introductions. The temporary workers were pleased with their introduction and how they had been treated by the temporary work agency. The majority of temporary workers were initially unsure of who to turn to in case of work environment related issues. The result was weighted against Swedish Work Environment Authorities recommendations and the conclusion is that temporary work agencies are advised to carry through follow-ups after completing missions. They should also make it clearer who the temporary workers turn to at the temporary work agencies, when it comes to work environment related issues.
