Lubricants Rig (English)
Abstract [en]

This report is the result of my bachelor thesis work at SMP in Umeå. The thesis has been to develop traceable test method to validate various lubricants properties to counteract the friction between the friction partners. For this purpose, a test rig has been completed so that the reference tests could be performed.

The thesis provides everything you need to know to be able to recreate the reference tests that have been performed. And how performance measurements of the results and the uncertainty that accompanies it.

Because this project is driven between the SMP in Umeå and KWF in Germany according to the Round Robin method have every change that have been made to KWF's proposed standard been documented in the thesis. Such as references points for data measurement and tolerances.

The thesis are to be seen as a suggestion of how to do the evaluation of the lubricating ability of different lubricants and not as a definitive test method.
