Abstract [en]

This study aimed to identify factors at the organization, group and individual levels that can benefit the development of teaching conditions and arrangements that make it possible to meet all students' needs for support for learning and development in inclusive forms. Current studies show that the national goal of "en skola för alla" is not reached yet. It is therefore important to study good examples and from these try to find the key factors that are particularly favourable. The study started with a review of situations that in the school will be recognized as behaviour problems and then explained what current research has considered being key factors for inclusion. This study was based on four dimensions of inclusion and these were: presence, acceptance, participation in the teaching situation and the ability to reach individual goals. With this as the background for the study a case study on a small independent school in a Swedish town was carried out. It contained an observation of a student being investigated for neuropsychiatry problems. This in order to study the factors that favours his opportunities to develop and learn as part of the regular curriculum. During the study, it became clear that the ability of the teacher to recognize the diversity of the student as an asset becomes important when trying to create the right conditions. A good relationship between the teacher and the student will spread and create space for everyone to be different and good conditions for all students to learn
