Betydelsen av utbildningsterapi har huvudsakligen studerats i samband till psykoterapeututbildningen. Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka hur psykologer skattar betydelsen av utbildningsterapin på psykologutbildningen. För att kunna möjliggöra detta konstruerades en webbenkät, Psykologers uppfattning av utbildningsterapin under psykologprogrammet (PuP). Totalt deltog 384 psykologer i studien. Psykologerna skattade betydelsen av utbildningsterapin utifrån empatisk förmåga och interpersonell förmåga, modellinlärning samt självkännedom. Instrumentet innehöll även frågor om vilka moment på psykologprogrammet som bidragit mest till den professionella utvecklingen samt om hur utbildningsterapin bör vara utformad enligt deltagarna. Resultatet visar att psykologerna anser att utbildningsterapin har haft betydelse för utvecklingen av deras empatiska och interpersonella förmåga och självkännedom samt fungerat som modellinlärning. Det fanns statistiskt signifikanta gruppskillnader mellan kön, behandlingsmetod och antal år i arbetslivet. Bland kursmomenten på psykologprogrammet rankades kliniska och interpersonella inslag såsom praktik, klientarbete och utbildningsterapi som mest betydelsefulla. Resultatet visade även att 82 procent av de tillfrågade önskar att utbildningsterapin behövs på psykologprogrammet samt att momentet bör vara obligatorisk för de studerande. Resultaten ligger i linje med aktuell forskning omkring utbildningsterapi på psykoterapeutprogrammet men mer forskning behövs då forskningsläget idag är begränsat. 

Abstract [en]

The importance of self-therapy has previously merely been studied in relation to psychotherapy education. The purpose of this study was to examine psychologists` views on the importance of self-therapy during the psychology program. In order to answer these questions an instrument was constructed called psychologists perception of self-therapy during the Psychologist program (PuP), a web survey. A total of 384 psychologists participated in the study. The psychologists estimated the importance of educational therapy based on empathy and interpersonal skills, model-learning and self-awareness. The web survey also included questions regarding the formation of the self-therapy in the future and which elements of psychology that has contributed most to the professional development based on the concepts. The results show that psychologists believe that self-therapy helped in the development of their empathic and interpersonal skills and self-awareness, as well as for model learning. There were statistically significant group differences between genders, method of treatments, and number of years of work. Among the course elements of the psychology program the participants ranked clinical and interpersonal elements such as internships, mentoring, client work and self- therapy as most significant. The result also shows that 82 percent of respondents thought that self-therapy is needed during the psychologist program and the course should be compulsory for the students. The results are in line with current research findings about self- therapy in the psychotherapy program but more research on this topic is needed since the state of knowledge today is limited.
