Abstract [en]

The aim of the study was to examine the students and teachers´perceptions of effective ways to respond to, understand and suport students with behavioral problems. The study was based on eight semistructured qualitative interviews with four teachers workinging in grades 7 -  9 and 4 students aged 15 - 17 years. The result shows the importance of good realtions between teacher and student, and the importance of listening to students and to strength teheir positive sides.
