The aim of this study is to increase the knowledge about ADHD from a young adult perspective. The study will examine young adults in age 15 -25 years old. The aim is to get young adults point of view when it comes to living with the diagnoses ADHD in everyday life. A deeper knowledge how these young adults feel they are being treated by others and their own experiences of getting and ADHD diagnoses. The study has a qualitative entry point and is based on semi-structured interviews and blog texts. The result will be analyzed from two different theoretical concepts: coping strategies and stigma, and the theoretical theory: symbolic interaction. The results show that people with ADHD don´t feel stigmatized by the diagnoses and don´t see it all negatively having an ADHD diagnoses. They describe different strategies to facilitate the struggles that can occur from the diagnoses and try to see the positive aspects of the diagnoses even when it´s hard.
