Abstract [en]

Globalized capitalism, immigration, higher salaries have moved beyond the line of perception, causing unexpected challenges in architecture. The Nordic hinterland(s) have become vibrant because of the labour force coming back and forth in search of a ‘better’ way of living; vast territories they occupy are cheap and attractive for multinationals. So what kind of spatial transformations do these processes produce? How can these transformations become a new platform for living and being together? Can they open up a space for collaborations and synergies between our market and institutions?
