Abstract [sv]

This study treats the topic of bullying. The purpose of the report was to create a deeper knowledge about the prevention and counteracting efforts against bullying in schools. The issues, which were the basis for the work, were about how the teachers prevented and combated bullying, how diffeent models and methods looked like and how pupils could be involved in the efforts to prevent and combat bullying in schools. In order to answer those questions, interviews were carried out with educators who were active in various schools and had different teacher roles as youth worker, preschool teachers, primary school teachers and principals. The result of the study showed that schools used different equality plans which they constructed themselves and audited every year. How the pupils were involved in the work of prevention varied from school to school. Some schools used different methods such as peers whose assignment was to create a safer environment of the school. Other teachers interviewed the students to see how they were thriving in the school environment and some schools had discussions in class where they divided the pupils into groups.
