Abstract [sv]
Educational systems across the world are under ongoing changes, and educators face many challenges. Some of these have arisen from globalization and financial circumstances, while others come from pressure from users of the system. Admissions systems are no exception to this. The conference ?Valid Assessments for University Entrance ? Challenges and Innovations? is intended to allow the measurement community to meet and discuss important issues in the admission of future students. How can we make valid assessments of potential students, and what are the models for selecting these candidates? What challenges are we facing today, and what possible solutions and innovations are there? Also, what challenges arise from using the innovations that were intended to solve important problems? The conference will take place in Umeå, Sweden 18-19 June 2013, and comprises a programme with keynote presentations by internationally renowned scholars and sessions with paper presentations.
