Aktasne - Tillsammans är en treårigt återkommande konferens som samlar forskare, studenter och allmänhet med intresse för samisk tematik till en tre dagar lång gemensam konferens. Syftet med konferensen är att skapa en gemensam plattform för dynamisk och konstruktiv debatt om den samiska forskningens nuläge och framtid. Konferensen är utformad att följa fyra aktuella teman (1) Traditionell kunskap och kulturella utryck (2) Utbildning, språk och revitalisering (3) Globala utmaningar, hållbarhet och livsföring (4) Dekolonisering och självbestämmande. Genom dessa teman öppnar vi upp för interdisciplinära diskussioner och samarbeten, möjliggör nätverkande och utforskar nya intressanta forskningsfrågor. För att locka besökare till konferensen och skapa möjligheter för samiska aktörer och organisationer att medverka, så planeras konferensen äga rum under Ubmejen biejvieh - Samiska veckan i Umeå. Av samma anledning så kommer konferensen också att vara flerspråkigt och simultantolkning mellan engelska, svenska och ett samiskt språk kommer att erbjudas. Konferensprogrammet planeras också utefter den tänka publiken, således kommer mer teoretiska presentationer varvas med mer praktikernära föreläsningar och workshops
Abstract [en]
Aktasne - Together is a triennial recurring conference that brings together researchers, students and the public with an interest in Sami theme for a three-day joint conference. The purpose of the conference is to create a common platform for dynamic and constructive debate about the Sami, the status quo and future. The conference will have four primary themes (1) Traditional knowledge and cultural expressions (2) education, language and revitalization (3) Global challenges, sustainability and lifestyle (4) Dekolonisering and self-determination. Through these themes, we open up for interdisciplinary discussions and collaborations, facilitate networking and exploring new and interesting research questions. In order to attract visitors to the conference and create opportunities for Sami actors and organizations to participate, the planned conference will take place in Ubmejen Biejvieh - Sami Week in Umeå. For the same reason, the conference will also be multilingual and simultaneous translation between English, Swedish and Sami languages will be offered. The conference program is planned for the thinking audience, with theoretical presentations interspersed with practitioner lectures and workshops.
