Abstract [sv]

Bakgrund: Interventionsforskning betonar vikten av kunskapsbaserade metoder i socialt arbete. Denna studie undersöker faktorer som möjliggör implementering av ny kunskap och sådana metoder bland socialarbetare som arbetar med klienter med riskfylld substansanvändning.

Metod: 174 socialarbetare deltog i utbildningen Effektiv Planering av Insatser (EPI) mellan 2020 och 2023. Efter utbildningen skrev deltagarna examinationsuppgifter om sina erfarenheter av att implementera ny kunskap och kunskapsbaserade metoder. Trettio examinationsarbeten analyserades kvalitativt.

Resultat: Fyra centrala teman identifierades: tillgång till och tid för att lära sig nya kunskaper, motivation, stöd från organisation och ledning, samt klientomtanke.

Diskussion: Studien belyser vikten av systemnivå (tillgång till kunskap), individnivå (motivation), organisationsnivå (ledarskap) och klientnivå (klientomtanke) för framgångsrik implementering av ny kunskap och nya metoder.

Abstract [en]

Background: Intervention research emphasizes the importance of evidence-based methods in social work. This study examines factorsthat enable the implementation of new knowledge and such methodsamong social workers dealing with clients with risky substance use.

Method: 174 social workers participated in the Effective Planning of Interven-tions (EPI) training between 2020 and 2023. After the training, participantswrote assignments about their experiences implementing new knowledge andevidence-based methods. Thirty assignments were qualitatively analyzed.

Results: Four key themes were identified: access toand time for learning new knowledge, motivation, support from the organization and management, and client care.
